Accounting Specialist (Bilingual Korean required)

Timpl has partnered with a major global steel manufacturing company and is seeking for Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for budgeting and financing of the company. The Accounting Specialist will also communicate and negotiate with the institutional lenders. General purpose: Performs varied duties to ensure that the budgets are made and followed in addition to borrowing operational funds.

  MAJOR FUNCTION::

- Training courses in accounting, general business and administrative office procedures preferred
- Responsible for the month end analyses of costs and revenues. ? Make forecasts on the company’s financial situation and determine whether the company needs to borrow additional funds.
- Engage in negotiations with institutional lenders. ? Negotiate contract terms with institutional lenders.
- Monitor the company’s financial performance to ensure that negative covenants in loan agreements are not breached.
- Calculating charges, securing payments, issuing receipts, and depositing money from charges, fees, bills, taxes, assessments, and deposits.
- Supervises the overall financing process.
- Establishing and maintaining ledgers, records, and computer files.
- Recording, posting, and entering transactions, records, and data.
- Advising, assisting, and training staff that performs bookkeeping and office support services.
- Assist the CFO as needed.
- Deal with institutional lenders in satisfying covenants
- Other duties as assigned

PREREQUISITES:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Associates (2 year) or Bachelors (4 year) degree from an accredited university preferred
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, practices and standards.
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of supervision.
- Knowledge of computerized accounting software.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and representatives from other agencies or departments.
- Ability to organize and clearly express information in concise written form.
- Ability to make mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to read, comprehend and apply pertinent laws, rules and regulations. - Ability to detect and reconcile discrepancies in financial records.
- Ability to use calculators, personal computers and application software.
- Stable track record in Accounting function; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification and advanced degree
- More than 4 years of accounting work experience in a dynamic and analytical environment
- Thorough knowledge and experience with financial closing process and accountabilities of the Controllership function
- Ability to assess issues and make timely and well informed decisions
- Strong proficiency in Excel spreadsheet functionality.
- Financial reporting: experience with preparation of statements of cash flow, income statements, and balance sheets
