Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Major Functions:

  • Validate customer quality issues and assign corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Investigate root causes of in-process or customer concerns.
  • Track and maintain the status of daily customer issues.

Essential Functions:

  1. Conduct periodic inspections as per the schedule or as needed.
  2. Ensure proper inspection techniques are applied to enhance part reliability.
  3. Oversee destruct reporting and monitor result statuses.
  4. Train quality inspectors in alignment with the annual training plan.
  5. Schedule and conduct quality audits or quality conference meetings.
  6. Communicate effectively with department team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
  7. Address and report customer concerns to relevant departments or team members.
  8. Maintain accurate documentation as outlined in procedures.
  9. Manage and calibrate measuring instruments.
  10. Develop and implement Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  11. Analyze quality performance metrics, including quality cost matrices.
  12. Update quality information boards, quality alerts, and engineering change orders.
  13. Monitor suppliers and perform Supplier Process Audits (SPA) based on the audit schedule.
  14. Issue nonconformance reports, claims, and other reports to suppliers.
  15. Follow up on supplier and customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  16. Monitor engineering-level modifications to parts.
  17. Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949 standards and customer requirements.
  18. Develop and implement a periodic inspection schedule for suppliers and perform inspections.
  19. Conduct Statistical Process Control (SPC) based on control plans or annual schedules.
  20. Prepare and validate corrective action reports from relevant departments and suppliers.
  21. Develop and validate countermeasure plans for customer concerns.
  22. Initiate and drive continuous process improvement initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience in process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Windows Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CAD.
  • Strong supervisory, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
